Jesus is the Word that was made flesh. He came and lived here on earth among the people, but their eyes were blinded; they didn’t recognize Him. The light of the Gospel opens our spiritually blinded eyes so we can see Jesus – to see Him is to receive Him as Lord and Master. There is a prayer that I pray for my staff, all my partners, family, friends and myself from the first chapter of Ephesians. Sometimes I pray from The Message: I can’t stop thanking God for you—every time I pray, I think of you and give thanks. But I do more than thank. I ask—ask the God of our Master, Jesus Christ, the God of glory—to make you intelligent and discerning in knowing him personally, your eyes focused and clear, so that you can see exactly what it is he is calling you to do, grasp the immensity of this glorious way of life he has for Christians, oh, the utter extravagance of his work in us who trust him—endless energy, boundless strength! The more you focus on Jesus, the more like him you will become. Your true identity is in Him!
PRAYER:
Lord, I ask you to open my eyes that I may see the wonderful things in your law. Thank you for the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father has sent in your name. He will teach me all things and will remind me of everything you have said. Lord Jesus, thank you for opening my understanding of the Word of God, showing me how to read my Bible. Amen
