My Lord, I acknowledge that you are the Good Shepherd of my soul, and I am the sheep of your pasture. When I hear your voice, I come to you because you call my name and you lead me out. You walk ahead of me; and I follow you because I recognize your voice. I will not follow a stranger but will run from him, for I don’t recognize his voice. Thank you for giving me a willing and obedient heart. I pray in your name, Lord Jesus. Amen
John 10:16
I have other sheep, too, in another fold. I must bring them also, and they will heed my voice; and there will be one flock with one Shepherd.
John 10:27
My sheep recognize my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.
John 10:3-5
do you think that people who are backslidden still hear gods voice and choose to ignore it, or they hear but let satan steal their thoughts, when you are following christ it is automatic you just listen and do, what happens maybe we go to manual gears and try to do things on our own even when we hear his voice is that possible?
Yes! Backliders still hear gods voice. ” He will never, never , never leave us nor forsake us.” Even when we ignore Him, His love compells him to talk with us. Eventually the circumstances of our life will compell us to listen.
Nothing is automatic. We are humans and we have choices to make. Thats the beauty of having your own will. It’s a whole lot easier to hear Gods voice and do what He tells us when we freely surrender our ability to choose between our human nature-which naturally goes against God- and our born again spirits. Paul talks about it in Romans chapter 7- the war in the mind. Thats why we have to renew our minds daily.
Cathy, I’m not sure I understand fully what you were asking. It would be nice and helpful if you would reply with more information.
