Dear Intercessor,In America we are preparing to celebrate the birthday of this nation and our freedom as a democracy. During this month we will remember other nations in prayer who have their independence as well as those who are still praying and fighting for a different future for themselves and their families.
Let us take time to pray for the body of Christ in Zimbabwe as they face a time of intense political and economic struggle. We pray for the heavens to open over this nation and the light of heaven to penetrate every vestige of darkness. Our prayers that are soaked in the compassion and love of the Lord will prevail for this region of the world if we persist in faith.
We are updating the resources used for the nations and have experienced some minor technical difficulties. The first half of the month I ask you to pray for the following nations as you feel led by the Holy Spirit and that we will be up and running for the second half of July. Consider doing a little research on your own or listening for news regarding these nations and allow that to help direct your prayers.
1. Iraq: Pray for our soldiers and the new leaders in this nation.
2. Ireland: Pray for a revival in the land of St. Patrick.
3-4. Israel: Pray for peace and for a hunger to know their Messiah
5-7. Italy: Pray for a fresh wind to blow through the Catholic Church.
8. Jamaica: Pray for revival among the different denominations on this island.
9-12. Japan: Pray for an increase in the Christian community in Japan.
13. Jordan: Pray for the hidden missionaries in this region of the world.
14-15. Kazakstan: Pray for the Christians in this land to be encouraged.
Your prayers always make a difference! As you have petitioned the Lord on behalf of others may you find yourself refreshed and encouraged with the assurance that your personal requests have also been heard on high.
