Overcoming Satan’s Distractions
Introduction
Financial stress is one of Satan’s devices of distraction and discouragement! Spending money unwisely can evolve into an emotional experience, causing stress. The good news is that the weapons of our warfare are mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds (2 Cor. 10:1-6). It is our responsibility and privilege to be good stewards of all that He supplies!
Our God is El-Shaddai, God Almighty (Ex. 6:3 AMP) and He is more than enough. His kind intention is that His children will enjoy good health and that all may go well with them, even as their souls are getting along well. (3 John 2 NIV) Understanding God’s financial plan will offset the enemy’s schemes!
The Holy Spirit will bring all things to your remembrance when you commit to be a good steward of the finances that Jehovah-Jireh provides. Don’t spend money you don’t have, learn delayed gratification, balance your checkbook, pay bills on time and make wise investments, which are your responsibilities, but you are not alone! The Word of God is your financial planner and the Holy Spirit is your Helper as you pursue the necessary knowledge to make wise financial choices.

Prayer will help renew your mind to God’s Word and will help you overcome financial stress. Turn all your worries into prayer. You can overcome worry by speaking God’s Word aloud. Take this prayer to “The War Room” and He who hears you when you pray will reward you openly! Pray aloud each day for the next 30 days and expect a change in your finances!
A Prayer for You
Father, I come before You in the name of Jesus. Thank You for the Holy Spirit Who is present to help me overcome worry and stress. I ask You to forgive me for yielding to the temptation to worry. Today, I command worry and stress to be far from me because I am here to seek first Your Kingdom and Your way of doing right and all these things (food, shelter, clothing) will be added unto me. I consider my steps, and submit to Your plan for my personal finances. You have started a good work in me and will perform it until the day of Christ. I commit my work of making a budget that is pleasing to You, and my plans will be established (Proverbs 16:3).. I choose to let go of the stress!
Jesus, You are my Peace, my Lord and High Priest. My goal and purpose is to worship You with the first-fruits of my income. I acknowledge You as Lord over my finances by giving as I purpose in my heart according to Your instruction.
Father, I desire to give tithes and offerings to You. Also, I purpose to give to those around me who are in need. When I give to the poor I am lending to You and You will repay! I acknowledge You in all that I do, and lean not unto my own understanding.
Thank You, Father, that as You bless me and I bless others, they will praise You and give You thanks and bless others and the circle of Your love and blessing will go on and on into eternity, in the name of Jesus.
