Scriptural Prayer Produces Results
Praying Scriptural Prayers in faith will, without fail, produce results. The results may not come immediately, but they will come. The results involve so much more than one ever thinks, dreams or imagines. In Ephesians 3:20 (Amplified Bible) we discover that God is able to do superabundantly, far over and above all that we dare ask or think [infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams].

When a crisis erupts, you want an immediate move of God. You may forget that God knows all things, and He sees the end from the beginning. Nothing that happens to you is a surprise to Him. You want God to change circumstances; He wants to change you, develop your character. You want God to do something and do it now; He desires a more intimate relationship with you. Your focus is changed from God’s faithfulness to your circumstances, and it’s easy to forget that God is greater than any situation.

Praying Scriptural Prayers will help keep your focus on God and His ability, it will build your faith and position you to know God as you’ve never known Him before. It may be easier said than done, but praise God during times of trouble, give glory to Him. Taking this step of faith will create a force that stops and stills the enemy. Praise Him regardless of your situation; He is worthy to be praised. During trials and tribulations we forget that we are to offer praise at all times. Praising Him in the face of trouble will develop passionate patience in you.

Patience is a necessary force when you are awaiting a manifested performance of God’s divine intervention. Praise, faith and patience will keep you alert for whatever God will do next. (Read Romans 5, The Message).

God’s Word is the believer’s contact with Him, and in Isaiah 43:26, He said, “Put Me in remembrance of My Word.” Knowing what He says about your circumstances will enable you to pray with confidence. Praying in agreement with God’s Word, which is His will, is reminding Him of His promises. He knows what He has promised and He will fulfill His Word. It is imperative that you know His will and mix your faith with His Word. Without faith it is impossible to please Him (Hebrews 11:6).

One of the most effectual methods of communication with God is praying Scriptural prayers -God’s promises written as personal prayer affirmations. As you study God’s Word, the Holy Spirit reveals creative prayers of petition. Write them down as God’s personal message to you, presenting them at the Throne of Grace with thanksgiving. (In my Prayers That Avail Much® book series, I have written prayers for many situations.)

This is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will…we have the petitions that we ask of Him (1 John 5:14-15). Place your confidence in God’s Word while in the midst of processing and dealing with the circumstances by praying Scriptural prayers and offering praises just because of who He is. Believing God is a choice, not a feeling.

Commit to pray and do not faint or turn coward. When tempted to vacillate or give up declare, “It is written…it is written…it is written.” Every time your emotions command your attention, pray the written prayers aloud, and your faith increases. Prayer changes things, but more importantly prayer changes you, and you change things. God’s Word will not return to Him void – it shall accomplish that which pleases Him (Isaiah 55:11). Praying Scriptural prayers will drive away doubt and unbelief. Stand before your Father-God, humbly presenting your written Scriptural prayer, and expect to see a manifestation of His glory. The words on the page will be transferred to the tablets of your heart, and become a vital part of who you are. God’s Word is your prayer manual, and He is watching over it to perform it (Jeremiah 1:12). If you abide in Jesus, and His words abide in you, you can ask what you desire, and it shall be done (John 15:7). As one poet wrote, “He may not come when you want Him to, but He always comes on time.” Your prayers will avail much bringing results that far exceed what you ever asked, thought or dreamed.
