Developing Perseverance

Father, the course that You have set before me is clear. You called me to start this business, and I look to You as my Partner in it. I purpose to be strong, courageous and firm.
Lord, thank You for going before me and working with me; You will not fail me or let me go or forsake me. In the name of Jesus, I resist cowardice and fear, refusing to become broken [in spirit] (depressed, dismayed and unnerved with alarm).
Through the power of the Holy Spirit I throw off those things that hinder me, and the sin that so easily entangles me, for I desire to run with perseverance the race marked out for me. I fix my eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of my faith, Who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of Your throne. I consider Him Who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that I will not grow weary and lose heart and give up in times of stress (employee turnover, decreased cash flow, rising costs, etc.).
By the grace wherein I stand, I trust in and rely on You, my Lord; my hope and confidence are in You. On the authority of Your Word I declare and decree that I am like a tree planted by the waters that spreads out its roots by the river; I shall not see and fear when heat comes, but my leaf shall be green; I shall not be anxious and careful in the year of drought, nor shall I cease from yielding fruit.
I pray that your Holy Spirit will bring this commitment to my remembrance when I grow weary and overburdened with the responsibilities of this company.
In every prayer of mine I always make entreaty and petition with joy [delight] for my associates and employees. I am convinced and sure of this very thing: that He Who began a good work in this company will continue until the day of Jesus Christ—developing and perfecting and bringing it to full completion.
Thank You for creating in me a steadfast, joyous spirit. I rejoice and exult in hope, remaining steadfast and patient in trouble, for You, Father, are my exceeding joy.
In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.
