For Your Children in Different Stages of Adolescence

Father of all comfort, when my children are reminded by church or school events that they are living in a single-parent home, I ask You to release Your anointing to bind up and heal their broken hearts. Thank You for Your anointing that breaks every yoke of bondage. The chastisement [needful to obtain] peace and well-being for us was upon You, my Kinsman-Redeemer, and with the stripes [that wounded] You we are healed and made whole.
Father, my children will not have to drink from my cup of sorrow, because You have turned my sorrow into joy! You took away my clothes of mourning and clothed me with joy. You have delivered me from a spirit of fear and given me a spirit of power, love, and a sound mind. Holy Spirit, I ask You to reveal my children’s passion for life and their divine call. For they are Your workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which You, Father, prepared beforehand that they should walk in them. Their security and future are founded in You.
Lord, create in my children a heart of trust in their loving heavenly Father Who will never leave them or forsake them. As we develop new inspiring, fun holiday traditions, we look to You, El-Shaddi, God Almighty (Ex. 6:3 amp), for miraculous provision.
You are effectually at work in my children [energizing and creating in them both the will and the desire] to please You. Help them forgive everyone who does not understand, and give them the grace to resist the temptation to receive rejection and self-pity.
I come before You asking You—the God of our Master, Jesus Christ, the God of glory—to make my children intelligent and discerning in knowing You personally. Give them understanding and open their eyes when viewing this whole single-parent situation, and close their eyes when it is necessary to protect and guard their hearts and innocence. Keep their eyes focused and clear, so that they can see exactly what it is You are calling them to do. Manifest Yourself to my children, speak to them so they understand and know that they are loved with a pure, unconditional love. You are a father/mother to them.
Father, You have given me the ministry of reconciliation [that by word and deed I might aim to bring my children in harmony with You]. I ask for Your wisdom in all situations that I might be Your true representative. I weep with my children in their sorrow and disappointment, and I rejoice with them in their victories. Father, I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.
I offer this prayer in the precious name of Jesus. Amen.
