Loving and Caring for Self

Father, I realize that before I can love others as You have instructed, I must love myself. Help me to speak truly, deal truly, and live truly in harmony with You, myself, and others in my prayer group.
I am Your workmanship, created in Christ Jesus. I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Help me to remember that others do not always know what is best for me. I trust in You with all of my heart and lean not on my own understanding; in all of my ways I acknowledge You, and You will make my paths straight.
I look to You to cause my thoughts to be agreeable to Your will that I may make healthy choices. Give me the courage to say no when it is in my best interest according to Your purpose and plan for my life.
I take responsibility for myself and allow others in our prayer group to take responsibility for themselves, in the name of Jesus. This frees me so that I am not [merely] concerned with my own interests, but also with the interests of others.
I desire to do unto others as I would have them do unto me. I am walking uprightly before You; therefore, I consider, direct, and establish my way [with the confidence of integrity].
You are my confidence, and You will keep my foot from being snared. Your love is shed abroad in my heart, and I will love my neighbor as myself.
In Jesus’ name, amen.
