Manifesting Gentleness

Father, I desire to be a leader controlled by Your wisdom, which is full of quiet gentleness. Reveal to me by Your Spirit how to be equitable, fair, moderate and forbearing in dealing with my associates. I desire to look at situations humanely and reasonably rather than insisting on the letter of the law.
In the name of Jesus, I will not be combative but gentle and kind and considerate, not quarrelsome but forbearing and peaceable, and not a lover of money. I seek to be submissive, obedient, prepared and willing to do any upright and honorable work.
I will not slander or abuse or speak evil of anyone (my associates, customers, friends, family members or competitors). I avoid contentiousness. In the name of Jesus, I am forbearing (yielding, gentle and conciliatory), and I affirm that I will show unqualified courtesy toward everybody.
Father, I desire that my administration of this organization not be burdensome or irksome to others. I purpose to be gentle among my employees and staff. When necessary, help me to be like a mother caring for her little children.
I recognize that “gentleness is love in action—being considerate, meeting the needs of others, allowing time for the other person to talk and being willing to learn.” Help me maintain a gentle attitude in my relationships with others.
In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.
