Prayer of Commitment to Employer

As an employee, I consider myself a team member yoked together with my employer and co-workers. Gladly, I assume my share of the workload and set my heart to serve others. I consider my employer worthy of full respect, so that God’s name and His teachings may not be slandered. It will never be truly said that I am a poor worker.
I agree to the sound instruction of my Lord Jesus Christ and to godly teaching. I refuse to quibble over the meaning of Christ’s words and to stir up arguments ending in jealousy and anger, which only lead to name-calling, accusations and evil suspicions. I will tell the truth at all times.
Godliness with contentment is great gain. For I brought nothing into the world, and I can take nothing out of it. I have food and clothing, and I am content with that.
I understand that the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. My motive for working is not to get rich. I would not wander from the faith and pierce myself with many griefs. Instead, I work that I may have something to share with those in need.
I set aside hidden agendas and factional motives. In the true spirit of humility, I regard others as better than and superior to myself [thinking more highly of others than I do of myself.] I esteem my employer and co-workers and look upon and am concerned for their interests as well as my own. I allow the same attitude and purpose and [humble] mind to be in me which was in Christ Jesus: [He is my example in humility].
Thank You, Father, for creating in me a servant’s heart and attitude.
In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.
