Prayer of Thanksgiving for Food Eaten While Traveling
Father, I ask for the wisdom to order that which is healthy and nourishing to my body.
In the name of Jesus, I resist the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eye as I scan the menu. When I am in doubt about what I am to order, I will pause and ask for wisdom, which You will give generously without finding fault with me.
Should I unknowingly eat or drink any deadly thing, it will not harm me, for the Spirit of life makes me free from the law of sin and death.
Everything You have created, Father, is good, and nothing is to be thrown away or refused if it is received with thanksgiving. It is hallowed and consecrated by Your Word and by prayer.
I receive this food with thanksgiving and will eat the amount that is sufficient for me.
In the name of Jesus, amen.
