It was a joyous occasion on September 20, 2003 when Dawn Dresselhaus and our grandson, Matthew Copeland, were married. We thank God that Matt found a [true] wife and obtains favor from the Lord (Proverbs 18:22 AMP). We welcomed Dawn into our family, and think of her as a granddaughter. She is tenacious, a woman of substance and faith whose speech is seasoned with grace. Her quiet and gentle spirit brings the unstated assurance that all is well. Dawn, a graduate of Bryan College is a devoted wife and the mother of two boys, Jonah and Ethan Copeland. She learned her values from her godly parents, and we are grateful for the woman she has become.

Prayer:
Father, today I pray for mothers of young children. You knew them before the foundation of the world and chose them to be Your representatives to future generations. I ask You to give them wisdom and good understanding as they teach and instruct their children according to Your will and purpose. Direct their steps and make them sure. A mother’s tasks are many! Whatever may be their task, give them Your grace to work at it heartily as something done for You, Lord. Give them insight and good understanding as they train up each child in the way he should go…in keeping with his individual gift or bent. Then, they can rest assured that when the child is old he will not depart from it, in the name of Jesus!
