Daily Prayer “Peace is My Life Motto”
Father, I turn my back on worry, and I do something good. I embrace peace and refuse to let it get away! I make peace my life motto! I crave peace and choose peace in my life. I go after it, and I work to maintain it!
When my life pleases you, Lord, You make even my enemies to be at peace with me.
Lord, You said, “I leave the gift of peace with you—My peace. Not the kind of fragile peace given by the world, but My perfect peace….” I will not let my heart be troubled and afraid. I refuse to be agitated and disturbed. I will give all my worries and cares to You because You care for me. That means You care for me and love me, but it also means that You will do the caring—or thinking—for me! (James 4:7).
So instead of worrying, I will pray. Father, I will let petitions and praises shape my worries into prayers, letting You know my concerns and thanking You for the answers. Your peace will keep my thoughts and heart quiet and at rest as I trust in Christ Jesus, my Lord. It is wonderful what happens when Jesus displaces worry at the center of my life.
Thank You for guarding me and keeping me in perfect and constant peace. My mind—both its inclination and its character—is stayed on You. I commit myself to You, lean on You, and hope confidently in You.
I let the peace, the soul harmony that comes from Christ, rule and act as umpire continually in my heart, deciding and settling with finality all questions that arise in my mind. I am thankful! I am appreciative! I am so grateful! I give praise to You always in Jesus’ name, amen.
