Daily Prayer “Don’t Panic! I’m with You!”
When anxiety was great within me, You brought me joy! “Don’t panic! I’m with you!” You said. “There’s no need to fear for I’m your God. I’ll give you strength. I’ll help you. I’ll hold you steady, keep a firm grip on you” (Isaiah 41:10 MSG). O how I rejoice at those words!
Father-God, I will not yield to fear, for You are always near!
You infuse me with Your strength, and You help me in every situation. Praise You! You hold me firmly in Your victorious right hand. The minute I say, “I’m slipping, I’m falling,” Your love takes my hand and holds me. When I am upset and beside myself, You calm me down and cheer me up.
I won’t get rattled and lost in despair. I trust You. I praise Your name.
Who would dare tangle with You by messing with one of Your chosen? Who would dare even to point a finger? The One who died for me—who was raised to life for me!—is in the presence of God at this very moment sticking up for me. Do you think anyone is going to be able to drive a wedge between me and Christ’s love for me? There is no way! Not trouble, not hard times, not hatred, not hunger, not homelessness, not bullying threats, not backstabbing, not even the worst sins listed in Scripture.
None of this fazes me because Jesus loves me! I’m absolutely convinced that nothing—nothing living or dead, angelic or demonic, today or tomorrow, high or low, thinkable or unthinkable—absolutely nothing can get between me and God’s love because of the way that Jesus our Master has embraced all of us.
I love You, dear Father, and I shout Your praises. You’re so good to me!
