Overcoming Fear and Shame
Father, fear and shame have energized my compulsive behavior, and I ask forgiveness for allowing my heart to be troubled and afraid. I trusted in earthly, sensual wisdom for protection and I was turned back in utter shame. But, You, Lord with an everlasting salvation have saved me; I will never be put to shame or disgraced. Because my Sovereign Lord helps me, I will not be disgraced. Therefore have I set my face like flint, and I know I will not be put to shame in the name of Jesus. Amen.
