A New Walk

You are a spirit with a mind, will and emotions and you live in a body of flesh and blood. I read once that we human-beings are at least five-dimensional. The Bible addresses the whole person…the spiritual, emotional, mental, physical and social. I remember the ecstasy that I experienced when I understood that the God of the Universe loved me! He liked me and I liked him!

On a beautiful spring day I was sitting outside enjoying the warmth of the sun. I looked at the tiny buds on the trees, and the hint of new grass that was peeking out of the soil. In the midst of this quiet beauty something was missing…the feeling of ecstasy was gone! God, what is wrong with me? Why don’t I feel your presence? Where are you?

The quiet, soothing voice I had come to love spoke, “My child, I’m here. Today you begin to learn the faith walk.” I accepted the truth of those words, which came to me as a strong impression or idea, and for the first time ever I believed that he would never leave me…he would never forsake me. There was no emotional feeling; there was only a word that I accepted by faith! I believed; Lord, help my unbelief!! Faith is not a feeling!

PRAYER:

Father, teach me to walk by faith and not by sight. Thank you for giving me the faith to believe that you exist and that you are a rewarder of those who seek you. Father, you said, “Seek my face.” My heart says, “Your face, LORD, do I seek.” Teach me your way, O LORD, and lead me on a level path because of my enemies who speak contrary to your word, which is Truth. Walking in the light I have true fellowship with you and with others. The blood of Jesus Christ cleanses me from all sin. I pray in the powerful name of Jesus. Amen
