Higher Ground

God is calling you upward to holy ground…to a place of trust…to set you high above your enemies. In these last days there are wars and rumors of wars, earthquakes and famine (Matthew 24). Do not be afraid! Your redemption is nearer than when you believed. Take your thoughts captive and bring them into obedience to the Word of God. Do not embrace and entertain fear-filled thoughts, they become a stronghold in your life. In her book, Shattering Your Strongholds, Liberty Savard writes that fear “is erected around great apprehension and anxiety over unresolved experiences and memories.” Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal any hidden feelings and thoughts that would hold you in bondage. God has given you a spirit of power, love and a sound mind to bring you to a place of total forgiveness and unconditional love. Renew your mind by praising God and meditating on Psalm 91, Isaiah 41:10, John 14:27, 2 Timothy 1:7 and Psalm 56:3-4. Choose to believe God’s word and drive fear out of doors.
Prayer
Father, in the name of Jesus, lift me up, and give me grace to trust You more. In these last days I take my stand in the land of the living, and I shall stand on holy ground. I shall not be afraid because You will hide me in Your shelter in the day of trouble; You will conceal me under the cover of your tent. You will lift me high upon a rock, and my head shall be lifted up above my enemies. I praise You with shouts of joy, singing and making melody to you, my Lord and my God, in the name of Jesus. Amen
