A Brand New World
Words continued to echo in my mind. “Arise [from the depression and prostration in which circumstances have kept you—rise to a new life]!”
Getting out my Amplified Bible I turned to the book of Isaiah, and began a search for this passage of scripture. Finding it in Isaiah 60, I read with great anticipation: “Shine (be radiant with the glory of the Lord), for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you! For behold, darkness shall cover the earth, and dense darkness [all] peoples, but the Lord shall arise upon you [O Jerusalem], and His glory shall be seen on you. And nations shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising.”
This brand new world beckoned me. I arose from depression and embarked on a journey that continues even to this day. I was filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy, for I began receiving the goal of my faith…the salvation of my soul. What God has done for me He will do for you.
Today you may feel that the storm clouds are gathering, the waters are turbulent, but look up there is light shining through; there is hope. Stress can deplete the body of needed chemicals and you may be under a doctor’s care, taking medication. I encourage you to keep an attitude of gratitude for help you are receiving while you are renewing your mind to the Word of God. You have the faith of the Son of God, and your night can turn to day, today!
PRAYER:
Oh, my Father! Thank you for leading me into a brand new world. Lord, you are my Redeemer! Because you have put a fountain of bubbling joy in my soul, a smile on my face and laugher in my mouth sorrow and sighing flee away. I see your goodness in the land of the living. In this brand new world I am free from the fear of man. You rescued me from the dominion of darkness and brought me into the kingdom of the Son you love, in whom I have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. Thank you for leading me into a brand new world, in the name of Jesus!
