For Good Communication
Since I am Your child, I am a disciple of Christ—taught of the Lord and obedient to His will. Great is my peace and undisturbed composure. I am constantly renewed in the spirit of my mind [having a fresh mental and spiritual attitude] and I am putting on the new nature—the regenerate self—created in Your image, Godlike in true righteousness and holiness.
My life lovingly expresses truth [in all things speaking truly, dealing truly, living truly]. I am enfolded in love, growing up in every way and in all things into Him, Who is the Head, even Christ, the Messiah, the Anointed One. My mouth shall utter truth. I speak excellent and princely things—the opening of my lips is for right things. All the words of my mouth are righteous. There is nothing contrary to truth or crooked in me.
I incline my heart to Your testimonies, Father, and not to covetousness (robbery, sensuality, or unworthy riches). I do not love or cherish the world. The love of the Father is in me. I am set free from the lust of the flesh [craving for sensual gratification], the lust of the eyes [greedy longings of the mind], and the pride of life [assurance in my own resources or in the stability of earthly things]. I perceive and know the Truth and that nothing false is of the Truth.
I prize Your wisdom, Father, and exalt it, and it will exalt and promote me. I attend to Your Word, consent and submit to Your sayings. I keep them in the center of my heart. For they are life to me and medicine to all my flesh. I keep my heart with all diligence, for out of it flow the springs of life.
I will do nothing from factional motives [through contentiousness, strife, selfishness, or for unworthy ends] or prompted by conceit and empty arrogance. Instead, in the true spirit of humility, I regard others as better than myself. I esteem and look upon and am concerned not [merely] for my own interests, but also for the interests of others.
I let this same attitude and purpose and [humble] mind be in me that was in Christ Jesus. Thank You, Father, in Jesus’ name, amen.
