Prayer When Persecuted at Work

Father, I come to You in the name that is above all other names—the name of Jesus. Your name is a strong tower that I can run into and be safe when I am persecuted on the job.
Lord, I admit that these unkind words really hurt me. I desire to be accepted by my boss and co-workers, but I long to obey You and follow Your commandments. I know that Jesus was tempted just as I am, but He didn’t give in to sin or hate. Please give me Your mercy and grace to deal with this situation. I look to You for my comfort; You are a true Friend at all times.
Thank You, Lord, for never leaving me alone or rejecting me. I make a decision to forgive the people who have spoken unkind words about me. I ask You to work this forgiveness in my heart. I submit to You and reject the disappointment and anger that have attempted to consume me. Specifically right now I forgive ___________________.
I ask You to cause this situation to accommodate itself for good in my life. To you, O Lord, I lift up my soul; in You I trust, O my God. Do not let me be put to shame, nor let my enemies triumph over me (Ps. 25:1,2 NIV).
Because I love You, O Lord, You will rescue me; You will protect me because I acknowledge Your name. I will call upon You, and You will deliver me; You will be with me in trouble; You will deliver me and honor me.
Father, I will resist the temptation to strike back in anger. I purpose to love __________________ with the love of Jesus in me. Mercy and truth are written upon the tablets of my heart; therefore, You will cause me to find favor and understanding with my boss and co-workers. Keep me from self-righteousness so that I may walk in Your righteousness. Thank You for sending and giving me friends who will stand by me and teach me how to guard my heart with all diligence.
I declare that in the midst of all these things I am more than a conqueror through Jesus, Who loves me. I can use the witty inventions You have provided me, and I will be confident in Your wisdom when working. I am of good courage and pray that freedom of utterance be given to me as I do my job.
In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.
