Daily Prayer “A Praise Song to You”
All glory to the Father, all glory to the Son, all glory to the Holy Spirit—the great Three-in-One! Here I am in Your presence to offer up the sacrifice of praise! I was a sinner hiding from You, but now I know that You were always present. I was blind to the light of truth, and depression separated me from You. I didn’t realize that You are the One I was waiting for, yet I waited and waited and waited for You.
You lifted me out of the ditch, pulled me from deep mud. You stood me up on a solid rock to make sure I wouldn’t slip. You taught me how to sing the latest God-song, a praise-song to You—the Great Three-in-One! More and more people are seeing this: they enter the mystery, abandoning themselves to You.
Here on earth I do not have a city that lasts forever, but I am looking for the city that I and my fellow travelers will have in the future. Through Jesus I choose to always offer to You my sacrifice of praise, coming from lips that speak Your name. With the help of the Holy Spirit, I choose to do good to others, and share with them, because such sacrifices please You, my loving heavenly Father.
