Daily Prayer “An Oasis of Peace.”
Father-God, I choose to focus on Your Word. You know all that my body needs, so I will never be worried about my life or about necessary sleep that my body needs. You care for the birds, and You provide their needs. I am much more valuable to You than the birds, and I know that worrying will add nothing to my life.
You are the Creator who swept into being the spangled heavens, the earth, and all their hosts in six days. I remember that on the seventh day—with the canvas of the cosmos completed—You paused from Your labor and rested. Here at the close of the day, Your presence is with me, and You will give me rest.
LORD, You are my best friend and my shepherd. You offer a resting place for me in Your luxurious love, and Your tracks take me to an oasis of peace. That’s where You restore and revive my life. Father, I choose to fill my thoughts with Your words until they penetrate deep into my spirit. Then, as I unwrap Your words, they will impart true life and radiant health into the very core of my being.
You give rest to those You love, and You love me! Thank You, Father, that I will sleep like a baby, safe, and sound—my rest will be sweet and secure. In the name of Jesus. Amen
