Daily Prayer “Choosing Life.”
Lord, reach down from heaven, all the way from the sky to the sea, and reach down into my darkness to rescue me! Thoughts of despair hound me day and night, and I’m turning toward the mercy seat as I lift my hands in surrendered prayer. Take me out of my calamity and chaos and draw me to Yourself. Take me from the depts of my despair. The thoughts of suicide are overwhelming, and I’m asking You to deliver me.
I humble myself before You and ask You to bring heaven’s deliverance, and all at once, turn on a floodlight for me! You are the revelations-light in my darkness and in Your brightness, I can see the path ahead. With You as my strength I can take captive every thought of suicide.
I choose life. I shall live and not die in the name of Jesus and trust You for a brighter day.
