Prayer
God, I’ve searched for a place where I would feel connected. So often, I have felt all alone and wondered why I was even born. Today, I believe and know in my heart that it was always in Your perfect plan to adopt me as Your delightful child, through my union with Jesus, the Anointed One, so that Your tremendous love that cascades over me would glorify Your grace—for the same love You have for Your Beloved One, Jesus, You have for me. This unfolding plan brings You great pleasure!
Since I am now joined to Christ, I have been given the treasures of redemption by Jesus’ blood—the total cancellation of my sins—all because of the cascading riches of His grace. I did not receive the “spirit of religious duty,” leading me back into the fear of never being good enough. I have received the “Spirit of full acceptance,” enfolding me into the family.
I will never feel orphaned, for as He arises within me, my spirit joins with His, and I say the words of tender affection, “Beloved Father!” The Holy Spirit makes Your fatherhood real to me by whispering into my innermost being, “You are God’s beloved child!” Thank You for being my beloved Father! In Jesus’ name, amen.
