Daily Prayer “Dark Dungeons of Depression Gone’”

Lord, I have been surrounded and battered by troubles. I am pressed on every side by troubles but not crushed. I am perplexed but not driven to despair. I may get knocked down, but I am not destroyed. I am not sure what to do, but we know that You know what to do! You have not left my side.
I have exhausted all my possibilities for changing my situation and circumstances and have found that I am powerless to change. But while all things are not possible with man, all things are possible with You. Therefore, I humble myself before You, confident You will lift me up.
I have a great High Priest who has gone through the heavens: Jesus Your Son. And I hold firmly to the faith I profess. My High Priest is able to sympathize with my weaknesses. He was tempted in every way, just as I am—yet without sin. I approach Your throne of grace with confidence, so that I may receive mercy and find grace to help me in my time of need.
In spite of these feelings—discouragement, depression, and anger—I choose to believe that Your word to Moses is Your word to me. You are mighty to deliver, Father-God! Because of Your mighty hand, You will drive out the forces that have set themselves up against me. You are the Lord, Yahweh, the Promise-Keeper, the Almighty One. You appeared to Abraham, to Isaac and to Jacob and established Your covenant with them. You brought the Israelites out of Egypt with mighty miracles and a powerful hand. You did great and awesome miracles before the Egyptians.
And now, Father, I believe You hear my cries. I will live to see Your promises of deliverance fulfilled in my life. Not one word has failed of all Your wonderful promises to us. You are a Covenant-Keeper!
Jesus Christ has set me free to live a free life. So, I take my stand! Never again will I let anyone or anything put a harness of slavery on me. I stubbornly refuse to go back into the bondage of___________. You freed me from being a slave! You have rescued me! You have liberated me from oppression and depression.
You are my Father, and You love me. You have delivered me out of the darkness and gloom of Satan’s kingdom and brought me into the kingdom of Your dear Son. No more dead-end alleys and dark dungeons. You have delivered me into the kingdom of the Son You love so much, the Son who got us out of the pit we were in, got rid of the sins we were doomed to keep repeating. You have rescued us completely from the tyrannical rule of darkness.
You are my Father, and You love me. You have delivered me from the past that has held me in bondage and translated me into the kingdom of love, peace, joy, and righteousness. I will no longer settle for the pain of the past. Where sin abounds, grace does much more abound.
Father, what You have promised, I will possess in the name of Jesus. I strip off every weight that slows me down, especially the sin that so easily trips me up, and I run with endurance the race God has set before me. I rebuke the spirit of fear, for I am built solid and grounded in righteousness. Oppression and destruction shall not come near me. I am more than a conqueror through You, who loves me. Overwhelming victory is mine through You, in Jesus’ name I pray, amen.
