Daily Prayer “Forgive Me!”
Father-God, You gave me the Living Word, which is full of energy and pierces more sharply than a two-edged sword. It even penetrates to the core of my being where soul and spirit, bone and marrow meet. Your Word interprets and reveals the true thoughts and secret motives of my heart. By your words I can see where I’m going. They throw a beam of light on my dark path.
Today, I choose to come clean and ask You to forgive me for trying to hide my sins from You. I am ready to finally admit the sins I had buried because I was afraid. Like a confused and frightened child, I was afraid of being punished.
Now I come to the mercy set where You established a new covenant with Your blood, and I receive forgiveness for my sins—my wrong motives, wrong perceptions, and ungodly, judgmental and critical attitudes toward others.
Thank You for loving me and exposing those issues that opened the door for self-condemnation. To You, my life-giving God, I openly acknowledged my evil actions. And You forgave me! All at once the guilt of my sin is washed away and all my pain has disappeared. Thank You for rescuing me completely from the tyrannical rule of darkness and translating me into the kingdom realm of Your beloved Son.
For in Jesus all my sins are canceled, and I have the release of redemption through Jesus’ blood. In His mighty name, I pray, amen.
