Father-God, I come before You on behalf of __________ who is experiencing the loss. ________. I celebrate with those who celebrate and weep with ______ who is grieving.
In this time of sorrow, I remember that all praises belong to You, the Father of tender mercy and the God of endless comfort. I am here to support my friend (or family member), and I ask You to comfort _____________ and strengthen him/her at this time of despair and sorrow.
Give him/her a beautiful bouquet in the place of ashes, the oil of joy instead of tears of mourning, and the mantle of joyous praise instead of the spirit of heaviness. LORD, you are _______’s Shepherd and he/she will have all that is needed. You let this precious child of Yours rest in green meadows, and You lead __________ beside peaceful streams.
Thank You for renewing _______________’s strength and guiding Your child along right paths. Even now as he/she walks through the darkest valley, _________ will not be afraid for You are close beside him/her. Surely Your goodness and unfailing love will pursue _________ all the days of his/her life, and he/she will live in the house of the LORD forever.
